With psilocybin on the rise to legalization, Mystic Medicine took a head start with prepping packaging options for their future products to emerge onto the market.

Taking inspiration from Tarot Cards, this was the driving force for the design aesthetics of the packaging. What do tarot cards represent? Tarot cards are there to give guidance, and as shamans like to say, “medicine” around what is happening in your personal orbit: love, money, career, goals, and general life path.

Utilizing an ouroboros and including the structual chemical formula model for psilocybin were key elements that Mystic Medicine wanted to include. By first sending me a sketch of their ideas, I then later sent it to Sydney Yoo to give me their best interpretation of the original sketch. From that point, I digitalized the sketch and made minor adjustments.

As a thank you, every chcolate bar would include a note of appreciation with a few notes on psilocybin stylized in the form of a tarot card.
